The water is clear and we can see the scallops in the water, just waiting for you to pick them up. There are a few steps to take to get your limit.
STEP ONE: Hire the right charter. You could go ahead and take your own boat out and follow the other boats, but you are really just guessing. Take the work out of scalloping and let Captain Nita put you on the scallops.
STEP TWO: Reserve your date to scallop. Now is the time to get your reservation with the Captain who delivers.
STEP THREE: Enjoy your private charter. Gather all of your favorite friends and have a great day out on the Gulf of Mexico. If you have more than five friends, we will come up with another boat and you can take
all of your friends. Let's do this!

The process is simple: after booking the charter with Fin Action Charters, come to the marina with your lunch and gear, and Captain Nita does the rest! She’s your private guide for the day. Captain Nita enjoys taking out novices and experts and welcomes families and children!

Inshore Fishing

Manatee Tours
Wintertime and early spring, Fin Action Charters will take you to see manatees in their natural habitat. We offer two river options – Crystal River or Homosassa River. Both rivers lead to the Gulf of Mexico which are wonderful boat rides.

Silver River Tour
During the fall, winter and spring months, Captain Nita offers an eco tour you will never forget. The beautiful Silver River is a state preserve which flows from the head spring at the Silver Springs attraction.

HALF-DAY FISHING
The time of the year, tides and weather conditions dictate what you will catch. The variety of fish may include: Spotted Sea Trout, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Cobia, Sand Trout, Shark, Black Sea Bass and Sheepshead. Spotted Sea Trout season is year-round.

Experience a full day of inshore saltwater fishing on the Nature Coastline out of the Steinhatchee River. A variety of fish will be caught in depths of 18 inches to 12 feet deep.

It's Really About The Boat
Her name is Saint Thomas
Although the boat is 2005 Action Craft Coastal Bay 24-foot with a 200 Two-stroke Yamaha, it’s actually very nice. In 2021, we had the motor rebuilt so she runs like new. L&S Auto Trim, out of Gainesville, outfitted her with new upholstery and she’s looking good and super comfortable.
The high sides of the Action Craft makes her a pretty dry ride when the waves get a little rough. She’s able to get up and go when storms come up, like they do so often on the Gulf, making you feel very safe. On your next adventure, ask Captain Nita to tell you how she got her name “Saint Thomas,” truly a blessing. We are looking forward to taking you on a fishing trip or river cruise.
BTW - this boat can come to you! The trailer has been completely rebuilt from new axles, tires, fenders, lights, tie-downs and even the lift jack. Let us know where and what body of water you would like to explore – and we will try to make it happen.
